Repair Digital Twin Didactic Factory

The repair digital twin (DT) didactic factory is based at the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems and Automation, University of Patras, Greece. This DF has been developed over the last four years in different European and national projects, focusing on different aspects, including:
Advanced manufacturing processes: optimisation of additive manufacturing process, use of cladding and hybrid manufacturing processes for repair purpose
DTs: development of DTs for different process optimisation Within the DFN, the Repair DT combines the previous experience and infrastructure and delivers the DT for modelling the repair of a product using hybrid manufacturing processes, mainly using machining for removing part of the damaged product and cladding for adding the missing material.

S - human upskilling, reskilling and training, educational programs
T - access to infrastructure and technological platform, concept validation, prototyping
