AIMEN Technology Centre, with more than 50 years of history, is currently a national and European benchmark in research, development and technological innovation in the areas of advanced manufacturing and laser manufacturing, digital technologies for manufacturing, smart materials, smart systems and recycling; as well as in the provision of differentiating technological services to the industry in the areas of manufacturing with advanced joining technologies, robotics and process digitization, a flexible cross-engineering service highly specialised in welding, corrosion, equipment calculation, product simulation and material tests.

The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a public body established in October 1945. As a leader in research, development and innovation, CEA is active in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. In each one of these fields, CEA maintains a cross-disciplinary culture of engineers and researchers, building on the synergies between fundamental and technological research. The Laboratory of Innovation for New Energy Technology and Nanomaterials (LITEN) is one of CEA's Division involved in the DaCApo project. CEA-LITEN carries out technological research studies via national and European financial support, and on behalf of industrial partners from a wide range of market segments: energy, land transportation, aerospace, construction, civil engineering, environmental, and IT industries, amongst others.

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd is a state owned and controlled non-profit limited liability company established by law and operating under the ownership steering of the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy. VTT is a research and technology organization (RTO) whose activities are focused on three areas: Carbon neutral solutions, Sustainable products and materials, and Digital technologies. VTT is impact-driven and takes advantage from its wide multitechnological knowledge base to strengthen Finnish and European industrial competitiveness. VTT can combine different technologies, produce information, upgrade technology knowledge, and create business intelligence and value added for its stakeholders. VTT has a staff of 2130, net turnover in 2021 was 154 M€ and other operational incomes were 99 M€. Over the years, VTT has gained vast experience from the participation and coordination of numerous European projects including both Framework Programme and Horizon Europe projects as well as other thematic frameworks and programmes. GKN Aerospace Sweden AB belongs to the global GKN Aerospace group. GKN Aerospace is a leading tier 1 supplier and partner for civil aircraft, military aircraft and in space propulsion. GKN Aerospace Sweden, located in Trollhättan has ~2000 employees. We are focused on design, development, manufacturing and repair a number of complex aeroengine parts for more than 90% of all large civil aircraft engines. We hare type certificate holder of the RM12 engine for the Swedish Gripen fighter aircraft and we develop and manufacture subsystems for the Ariane rocker engines. The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) offers more than 30 Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, including cutting-edge teaching that combines theoretical-scientific education and professional training. Research activities range between ad-hoc interactions with single companies and institutions up to explorative research projects funded by national and international institutions on key prospective areas. The Sustainable Production Systems (SPS) Lab, part of the Department of Innovative Technologies, is involved in the DaCapo project and focuses on supporting sustainability-driven innovation in manufacturing companies. SPS involves 42 employees and combines education and research activities in several national and European research projects, with an average research investment of 2M CHF per year. Since sustainability is a key element for manufacturing, both in terms of strategic challenge and as a trigger of new business opportunities, SPS has focused a significant share of its effort in supporting sustainability-driven innovation in manufacturing companies, starting from the development of sustainability-aware strategies, down to sustainability performance computation and analysis, and the identification of relevant manufacturing technologies for sustainable processes and products.
